Holly’s Pumpkin Pie and Crust

Holly’s Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ Cups Flour
  • 1 Cup Lard
  • 1 Egg Yellow
  • Cup Milk With Egg in measurement
  • 1 Tsp Salt

Instructions

  • Mix all dry ingredients together
  • Cut in Lard with pastry cutter
  • Put egg yellow in 2/3 cup and fill with milk.
  • Mix into lard mixture. Dough will be sticky.
  • Cut dough into thirds.
  • Place on floured surface and roll circle.
  • Place in pie pan.

Pumpkin Pie Filling

Servings 3 Pies

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Pumpkin
  • 1 ⅓ Cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 6 Eggs
  • 3 Cups Milk

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 350° F,
  • Mix all ingredients well.
  • Pour into pie crust.
  • Bake 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center of pie comes out clean.
  • Let cool, add whipped cream as desired and serve.
